The life ahead of you may require a different map.
Perhaps you've reached a point where something needs to change.
You may not know exactly what that change looks like yet.
Perhaps you've lost some confidence along the way. Perhaps you keep finding yourself held back by the same patterns, doubts or fears. Or perhaps, despite everything you've achieved, you have a growing sense that there is more of you still waiting to emerge.
The problem isn't necessarily that you don't know what to do.
Sometimes, the map you've been using to understand yourself, your possibilities and your place in the world simply no longer fits the territory of who you're becoming.
That's The Map Gap.
Over two deeply interactive days, you'll learn to recognise the maps shaping how you see yourself and your life, expand your perspective and develop the awareness, attention and accountability to create meaningful change.
This isn't about becoming someone else.
It's about seeing more clearly what may be getting in the way of becoming more fully yourself.

Why change can feel so hard
When something in our lives isn't working, we often assume we need to try harder.
Be more disciplined.
More confident.
More motivated.
More positive.
But lasting change rarely begins there.
We all develop internal maps of who we are, what we're capable of, what is possible and how the world works. Many of those maps were formed long before we had the ability to question them as the result of influences from family, culture, external expectations and our past experiences,
Over time, these interpretations can become so familiar that we stop seeing them as maps and start experiencing them as reality.
Until one day, something changes. Or perhaps you do…And the map no longer fits.
The Map Gap can show up when:
you know you're capable of more, but something keeps holding you back
you repeatedly find yourself caught in the same patterns
self-doubt overrides what you know about yourself
you keep adapting to everyone else and lose sight of what you want
old experiences continue to shape present choices
you feel ready for change but aren't sure where to begin
part of you knows there's more possible, but you can't quite access it
Change begins when we can see the difference between who we are and the map we've learned to navigate ourselves by.
What you’ll develop
When you develop greater awareness of the maps shaping your thinking, learn to direct your attention more deliberately and take responsibility for how you respond, something begins to shift. You have more choice, more perspective, and more confidence in your ability to navigate uncertainty. This gifts you with greater freedom to respond to your life as it is now rather than continuing to live from maps created by experiences that may no longer define you.
Awareness. Attention. Accountability:. The foundations for navigating life with greater confidence, clarity and possibility.
01
Awareness
See the map you're currently navigating from.
Recognise the assumptions, interpretations and patterns shaping how you see yourself and respond to the world around you.
Learn to notice the difference between what happened and the meaning you've made of it.
Because when you can see the map, you have more choice about whether you want to keep following it.
02
Attention
Direct your attention where it can serve you.
What we pay attention to shapes what we experience.
Develop greater awareness of where your attention goes, what captures it and what you may be overlooking.
Learn to widen, narrow and shift your attention more deliberately — so you can move beyond getting caught in the loudest fears, oldest stories or most familiar patterns.
03
Accountability
Take ownership of your next chapter.
This isn't about blaming yourself for where you are.
It's about recognising the power you have in how you interpret, respond and choose what comes next.
Learn to move beyond automatic reactions and limiting patterns, and take greater responsibility for the changes you want to make.
Who is this for?
You don't need to have everything figured out. In fact, this experience is for women who recognise that you don't always need to know exactly where you're going before you begin to question the map you've been following.
This retreat is for women who have a sense that something is ready to change and who want to:
Grow in confidence and trust yourself more
Gain clarity about what you want next
Break through patterns that keep holding you back
Reconnect with parts of yourself that have been lost or overlooked
Step beyond fear, self-doubt, or limiting assumptions
Unlock more of your potential and become more of who you are

Your facilitator Ami Cook
Ami Cook is a professional coach, counsellor and leadership facilitator with more than a decade of experience helping people understand the patterns that shape how they think, feel and respond — and supporting them to create meaningful change.
She is fiercely passionate about helping women recognise what is possible for themselves, particularly when self-doubt, old patterns, expectations or fear have quietly narrowed their sense of what they can do.
Over the years, Ami has designed and facilitated dedicated women in leadership programmes, working with women at different stages of their careers to build confidence, find their voice, challenge limiting assumptions and step more fully into their potential. She has also coached CEOs, senior executives, high performers and elite athletes, bringing a deep understanding of what helps people perform, grow and navigate change.
Ami is the creator of MindNavigator®, an award-winning approach to human and leadership development, and author of The Map Gap. Her work brings together psychology, neuroscience, systems thinking, coaching and contemplative practices to help people see themselves and their lives with greater clarity — and create more choice in what comes next.
Her belief is simple: you don't always need to change who you are. Sometimes you need to change the map you've been using to understand and navigate the world.
Why is this different?
There are plenty of programmes that will tell you what confidence, success or personal growth should look like. This one starts somewhere deeper, exploring how you are making sense of yourself and your situation.
Before every decision, reaction or choice, there is a process of meaning-making. And if you don't understand that process, you may unknowingly continue to navigate your life from beliefs and assumptions that no longer serve you.
This retreat gives you both a new way of understanding yourself and practical tools for creating change.
Notice the map. Check it against your reality. Expand what you can see. Take responsibility for what comes next. And redraw the map when you're ready to.
